Lessons from Ad World 2021
Updated: Sep 10, 2021
Our staff attended this year's Ad World Conference earlier this week, and are still going through and rewatching presentations and taking notes. The wealth of knowledge shared by all of this year's presenters was absolutely incredible, and we are definitely looking forward to the next conference!
Some key takeaways from the week:
1. Video is KING. Platforms are becoming increasingly more visual, and people prefer to watch interesting content as opposed to reading it.
2. Advertising costs are skyrocketing, so it’s becoming even more important to be aware of consumer behavior, where your target market is, and how best to communicate with them.
3. SEO isn’t just for your website-- it’s key for your social strategies as well.
Our favorite takeaway from the week, however, was this poignant quote by Seth Godin:
“Marketing isn’t selling more stuff. Marketing is our culture, and our culture determines who we are.”
There's a unique opportunity in the clinical trial industry for marketers to do more storytelling and around the services we promote. We don't simply want to "sell" trials-- we should aim to build compelling stories around them that showcase company values, fit into company culture, and resonate with the audiences we're trying to attract.
